Hi!
We're brothers William and Daniel. We always wanted to start a family business. We would spend so many evenings talking to our parents and thinking of ideas big and small. One day it finally clicked...
We tried it. We liked it.
We have some family friends who own an ice cream truck called Heightscream! They run the truck together as a family and all pitch in and do different jobs. They invited us to work on the truck with them and we loved it. We got to take orders, make change and help people pick fun ice cream! The best part was seeing people smile when we handed them a treat. It was so much fun!
We got a bike
After that, all we could think about was selling ice cream. We did some research and with the help of our mom, we found a company that sold BIKES with ice chests on the front. We knew that would be perfect because we love to ride bikes around our neighborhood in NE Portland plus it fits in our garage! After some thinking and planning, our parents agreed to help us start SuperChill to be a neighborhood ice cream bike.
Friends
We run the business together with our neighborhood friends and helpful parents. We think of ideas for selling ice cream and work together to make the menu, take orders, track inventory, study wholesale and the most fun... taste testing ice cream!
Headquarters
We made a SuperChill HQ in our garage where we keep our bike and freezer. We like to hang out there and practice things that come up on the bike, like how to make quick change or how to use a card reader.
We're learning a lot and figuring it out one thing at a time. We want to try new things that regular ice cream trucks don't do. We've got lots of ideas. So far, the best thing about SuperChill is the feeling of showing up on our bike and watching people get excited to see us and then enjoy a treat.
